Step 10: Attend Orientation
All international students are required to attend International Student Orientation. This ISSS orientation will cover crucial immigration information and campus resources for new international students. This session is mandatory for all F-1 and J-1 students. Note that International Student Orientation is separate from other orientation sessions you may be required to attend.
Pre-Arrival Information Sessions
ISSS will offer several virtual pre-arrival sessions throughout the summer months before the start of the Fall term, these sessions are optional, and attendance is not required for incoming students. Please note sessions with identical titles will review the same content in both sessions. Please register to attend sessions at least 24 hours before the scheduled session, registrants will receive a Zoom link for the session(s) they registered for at least one hour before the start of the session. If you encounter challenges accessing the Zoom link on the day of a scheduled session, please email our office at isss@unc.edu.
