International Mother Language Day Celebration – Language Exchange

| Join ISSS on February 20th to celebrate International Mother Language Day one day early. We will be engaging in an activity to celebrate the power of language exchange. You are invited to join us to write a word or phrase in your mother language, translate the meaning/pronunciation of the word in English, and post the vocabulary card outside the ISSS office for other students and scholars to learn throughout the week. After you share a word or phrase in your mother language, you will have the opportunity to learn one or multiple new words or phrases in a language different than your primary or mother language.
Students, scholars, and family members are invited to attend. We encourage you to bring your friends. No need to register, just show up. Registering will result in you receiving a reminder email one day before the event. This event is free to attend. Questions? Email isss@unc.edu
