International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) at UNC-Chapel is aware of the United States Citizen and Immigration Services announcement issued on March 30. Additionally, ISSS has been closely monitoring proposed immigration-related regulations. Most regulations are published in proposed form with a 30- to 60-day public feedback period. Based on public input, various aspects of the proposed rule could be modified during the review and finalization process. The usual rulemaking process takes at least several months.
